Pink Pump Store

I am always one to support local business, and this is a business I think we all may be supporting a lot. Pink Pump was slated to open in July in downtown Ann Arbor on East liberty, taking the spot of the old John Leidy Shop next to the Michigan Theater. Although I am sad to say I have not been to the store yet, I think it will pleasantly surprise us all. The shoe boutique is owned by Tawny Theiu, who already has stores located in downtown Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham and Royal Oak. Shoes will range from $20 to $400 and will carry designers like Betsy Johnson, Jessica Simpson, L.A.M.B., Hunter, and Minnetonka. Here are links to both her website, and a complete article from AnnArbor.com. I love it already!

The Art of Crochet

BKE Boutique Crochet Tank TopWhat use to be used on crafts and doilies is now becoming chic thanks to designers like Chanel whose Spring/Summer collection brought a whole new way of using this knit. This summer it has been popping up everywhere, from skirts, shirt, dresses, and scarves. I think it may have some staying power as well, with cute designs like the one above from The Buckle.

Claire Fong

Goldsmobile Earrings
Taking my recent post to mind, Claire Fong designs some amazing earrings that will make any outfit pop. I love long earrings, and apparently so does she. With the quirky and artistic designs, I'm sure everyone will be asking where on earth you found them. You can actually find them at Lulus.com, but that could be our little secret...

ACCESSORIZE!

"A|X Armani Exchange is accessible Armani, inspired by street-chic culture, fashionable dance music and everything that signifies freedom and personal style. Armani Exchange is the youthful label created by Italian designer and entrepreneur Giorgio Armani. " website

I absolutely love this store. It feels great to splurge once in a while, but do not feel as though you have to in order to shop this label. This necklace which I love is $38 while sunglasses are $65. Compare that to Express jewelry or Jessica Simpson shades and you can see with a little effort you can expand your wardrobe and add in some designer items for less. Lets face it, accessories will make it or break it. A jazzed up white T-Shirt and skinny jeans can look like a million dollars without being even close.

Cut Outs

My pick: Is the Microphone On? Dress in Cheeta at Lulus.com

Cut-Out Dresses were huge in the celebrity world last Summer, but are now just making it to everyday wear. I absolutely love this trend. You don't have to reveal too much as its sexiness is about the flash of bare body, but not enough to feel out of place. The designs are so strategically placed it just becomes part of the dress.

I recently went on a trip to Miami and discovered a store we do not have the pleasure of visiting in the midwest. That in no way means you can't shop there though! The first Mango store was opened in Barcelona, with five additional stores opening in their first year of business. Today they have stores all over the word from Canada, the United States, Mexico, and through out Europe. Check mango.com out now for some amazing pricing (average is about $35) on awesome duds. These are my picks...
